Fourth grader Katie Perzinski, right, piles canned goods in the back of a York County Food Bank truck, Thursday Feb. 9, 2006, as the third through fifth grade students of York Country Day School complete their Martin Luther King Jr. Day volunteer project. The Lower School volunteer project collected 400 cans of food to donate to the food bank. Students started the project by making watercolored cards, which they then sold four for $1. Using the money raised by the card sale, and donations of canned goods by the students, York Country Day was able to donate over 400 pounds of food.
